Custom cutting board stands

Custom cutting board stands

Padauk cutting board stand.Hi everyone, i have been working on these for awhile to come up with something a little different to help accent the cutting boards. This is my own design that i have been working on and they just turned out great. The brass rods do a couple things, not only does it help stabilize the stand along with the cutting board it also just looks fantastic! There is a lot of different stands out there and the ones that use single feet are easy to tip over once the board is removed, this is one issue i wanted to fix along with the over all appearance of the stand itself. The other issue i wanted to address was being able to accept boards that are a different thickness. This stand will hold a serving board or a cutting board up to 2 inches thick.perhaps you already have a cutting board and just need a stand that helps show it off, well we have you covered. These stands are cared for just like a cutting board. They are hand sanded all the way up to 320 grit sandpaper and then immersed in mineral oil to give them there final finish. The overall width of the stand is 13 inches by 10 inches tall by 6 inches wide.We can always make you a custom dimension stand if you need something a little different, you can email me and we can work together to "create" something just for you. Thanks for your time.

Care Instructions

How do i wash my board?

You want to keep your board clean so washing it is very important.I recommend washing the whole board front and back with your preferred dish soap. Now we don't want to submerge it in water, just a quick rinse on both sides, then scrub the board and then a light rinse to remove the soap.Once this is done i  suggest hand drying with your favorite towel as this will help the board drying evenly. This will help keep the board from warping.

Standing the board  on edge is a good way for it to dry,But you can also lay it flat just remember to flip it over.If we can get the board to dry evenly we should not have to worry about the board warping.I personally use a easel and i will just flip it around in that stand and i have not had any trouble.

Never put your board in the dishwasher,It will surely ruin the board

How often do i oil or condition my board?

It depends on how much you use it,this is key for your boards survival. Some of us have been around  wood a long time and some of us have not.so what i like to tell my customers is that you cant really "over" condition the board. The board for the most part will only soak up so much oil or wax at a time. What you can do is pick a spot on the board an rub some board wax or oil on it and let it sit for a bit.Come back in a couple hours and take a look at it,if the rest of the board does not have that nice sheen to the surface and the spot you applied the wax/oil to does, its time to oil the whole thing.it wont take long and you will have the eye for it.
